Maggie Viland

Maggie is a former Research Specialist responsible for concentrating and preparing bacteriophages to be administered to patients with NTM infections. She explored ways to optimize the standard operating protocol for phage therapy production as well as isolating and characterizing resistant mutant strains of Mycobacterium abscesses to expand phage susceptibility.

She earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023.
