Julia Kovalski

My focus in the Hatfull Lab is phagehunting and genome annotation. In addition, I am assisting Krista Freeman PhD in the BioID project where the 49 Adephagia genes of unknown function will be inserted into a vector in M. smegmatis to test for toxicity. This will give us a better idea of how these genes function and why phage Adephagia is so toxic to M. tuberculosis.

Julia is a member of the class of 2022.
