Carlos is a post-doc in the lab and a former lab manager. His projects include finding phages to treat tuberculosis, identifying integration sites for multiple phages that have led to discoveries about the interplay of phage and host, and developing techniques that allow the genomic manipulation of both hosts and phages.

Carlos earned his BS at Duquesne University, and his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh.
